In Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, a breezy take on writer director Shane Black's trademark buddy action/comedy oeuvre, a petty thief (Robert Downey Jr.) is brought to Los Angeles for an unlikely audition and finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation, along with his high school dream girl (Michelle Monaghan) and a detective (Val Kilmer) who has been training him for his upcoming role.

A brilliant film. If you like films such as The Big Lebowski, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and so forth then you really must check out this film. It's extremely funny, has a killer plot and the cast are all top notch. The first thing I have seen Val Kilmmer in in a long time where I thought he was just so great, he's so funny as is everyone else. Shamefully overlooked at the cinema it's a true underground classic that richly deserves to be checked out.
This - is - FUNNY!!!... Hard case 2005 crime / comedy/ buddy film based on the novel "Bodies Are Where You Find Them" by Brett Halliday... directed by Shane Black, who wrote "Lethal Weapon", "The Last Boy Scout" & "The Long Kiss Goodnight"... Downey Jr is hilarious (especially after he gets his butt kicked after delivering one of the coolest "leave the girl alone" speeches to a would be creep)... Kilmer is great too... EMPIRE magazine gave it 5 stars (quite an achievement)...
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is a great comedy/crime movie. Robert Downey Jr.'s role seems perfect for him as the main character and narrator. Val Kilmar as gay Perry makes so many joke's at Downey Jr's expense, it will leave you in stiches. I give this movie 5 stars because it appealed to my sense of humor and had the feel of a Tarrantino flick.
yep definately the best movie robert downey has been in for a while and also the best movie that val kilmer has been in for a while. this is one of those action comedy movies that actually works and actually has you laughing. val kilmer has some great lines in this and robert downey junior also has some very funny scenes well worth a watch.
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is a great movie to watch. My favourite part of the movie is when Harmony (Michelle Monaghan) closed a door very hard and it cutted off one of Harry's (Robert Downey Jr.) finger. I thought it was so funny. I will watch the movie again!!
Kiss Kiss BAng BAng is an arch and knowing take on both noir and contemporary crime movies. An unsuccessful thief finds himself in Hollywood being groomed for a film role but a chance encounter with a childhood friend and an uneasy alliance with a gay private eye and several bodies later and things get kind of messy. Clever and playful and an absolute delight.
