Critically acclaimed biopic about the legendary international singing icon Edith Piaf, whose voice and talent captivated the world. Starring award winner Marion Cotillard (A Very Long Engagement, A Good Year) in an astonishing performance, the film is a portrait of a remarkable artist born into poverty who survived using the only gift she had her voice. Piaf's tragic life was a constant battle to sing and survive, to live and love, with no regrets.

This movie tell’s the story of the French singer Edith Piaf, one of the most recognised French voices in the world. It illustrates her tumultuous journey through life, beginning with her collapse on a stage in New York in the 1950’s, then returns the year 1918, to her childhood of hopeless poverty and neglect. The actress Marion Cotillard was amazing as Edith Piaf, managing to portray a deeply emotional and lifelike persona of the singer, scoring herself an Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
