Life's greatest adventure is finding your place in the Circle of Life.
Disney’s epic coming-of-age saga tells of the love between a proud lion ruler, Mufasa and his son Simba – a naive and curious cub who "just can’t wait to be king." But Simba’s envious Uncle Scar has other plans, and his scheming for the throne leads to Simba’s exile from the kingdom he should rightfully rule. Befriended by the hilarious warthog, Pumbaa, and his manic meerkat companion, Timon, Simba forgets his regal responsibilities and adopts a carefree lifestyle of "Hakuna Matata."

THIS MOVIE IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES AND I AM DIEING TO OWN IT.
EVERYWHERE I LOOK I CANT FIND IT THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE.
THIS IS A MUST WATCH MOVIE FOE EVERYONE.
This is my most favourite movie ever! It contain a unique mix of drama, action, adventure and comedy. It is a very inspirational movie, and is recommended to a family watching it. My favourite part was when Simba, all grown up, became king. It is a sad movie though, as i cried some of the way through! 5 / 5
I love this movie, its really sad in places though, and then its really funny like timone and pumba, these guys make the movie, if it wasn’t for them it would have been pretty boring! They are brilliantly created characters, with a great sense of humour! If you have little kids and they haven’t seen this classic then its definitely worth getting but im sure everyone has seen this atleast once!
The Lion King was released when Disney was at the height of good old animation and not the Pixar titles that drive them today.
The Lion King is a great movie, full of beautiful music, loveable characters and a story with a moral at it's heart (like every Disney movie). No wonder this movie was made into a Broadway smash.
The Lion King is not to be missed and should be part of every DVD lovers library, young or old.
A loose adaptation of “Hamlet” set in the Serengeti, it follows the story of the young lion Prince Simba, reckless and rather arrogant in his youth, and the lessons his father, the majestic Mufasa tries to impart to him in order to make sure he becomes a good king, despite the secret influence that his evil, scheming uncle Scar seems to wield upon him.
This one is an utter classic. The animation is beautiful and detailed, the plot is masterful in its depth, and the voice-acting is top notch. The music is lovely too, with beautiful melodies from Tim Rice and Elton John; I’m sure I’m not the only one who gets choked up hearing “The Circle of Life”! In all, a stunning animated feature that stands at the pinnacle of Disney’s many achievements, and a movie that all children should see at least once.
I can remember the lion king from being a kid and loving it to no end, i watched it probly literaly a nundred or more times, i watched it last year and enjoyed it more, i laughed so many times during this funny and well made film, no matter how old you are you can enjoy this movie
The Lion King is a fantastic movie i think that it is suited to not just kids but also adults as well. The characters are really great and so cute! It has a great storyline to follow. There are some sad bits in it though but dont worry everything turns out all right in the end. There are great songs to sing a long to aswell. This movie is very enjoyable.
The Lion King is a absolute classic! One of the best aniamted movies ever made and even no as an adult...i love it to bits each and every time i watch. The characters are wonderful and the dvd quality is great. This is a must have for any fan of great classics. If you dont know of the lion king, get this and find out!
The Lion King is a SPECTACULAR movie. A brilliant movie for the kids but also such a movie that adults will enjoy as well. It is a timeless movie that excites children and really made an impact on everyone who saw it. It is so cute with all the little characters and quite sad at times but it is a fantastic movie and words cant show how good it is. The songs are great also.
A huge hit when it was released, this is still an immensely enjoyable film. Filled with wonderful characters: Pumbaa and Timon provide wonderful comic relief; Jeremy Irons oozes malevolence as Uncle Scar, and James Earl Jones lends his mellifluous voicing talents to Mufasa. A wonderful coming of age tale for every member of the family...
