This concert by Velvet Revolver was filmed in Houston, Texas in 2005 during the tour in support of their bestselling and Grammy Award winning debut album 'Contraband'. The full-length live tracks are intercut with snippets of interview with the various band members talking about how Velvet Revolver came into being.
The set list naturally focuses on that debut release, but is complimented by two tracks from the Guns 'n' Roses catalogue and two tracks from Stone Temple Pilots' debut album highlighting the history of the band members.
The Velvet Revolver 'Live In Houston' DVD captures this outstanding live band in great form in front of a typically enthusiastic Texan crowd.
tracks: 1. Sucker Train Blues 2. Do It For The Kids 3. Headspace 4. Crackerman 5. Illegal I 6. It's So Easy 7. Fall To Pieces 8. Big Machine 9. Set Me Free 10. Used To Love Her 11. Slither 12. Sex Type Thing
Huge STP fan. Never really cared for GNR. Velvet Revolver was as good as it was because of Scott, their lead single. The two albums they released were fantastic, especially Contraband. This is a concert before they released their second album and you only get 12 songs unfortunately, four of which are songs from their previous bands which narrows up to 8 songs from the band. These 8 songs could be considered their best pre Libertad songs, but still I think they should've at least played the whole first album or at least include multiple performances of the same songs or TV performances, but nothing. The concert is great, but the value is really poor.
