Great movie pack all together. I love the feel of the movies, not typical Hollywood productions but Swedish ones. Less budget obviously but very well written and filmed. The cast is incredibly good, every character is spot on, just like in the book. The first movie is a legend, which actually made me buy the whole pack, the second movie lacks a bit in depth, a bit confusing and aimless, but the third one kicks in again and is very exciting.
I read all 3 books before I saw the movie and I think the movie adaptation is overall very well done. Of course you can't fit anything in. Especially the 2nd movie deviates a bit from the book, in places that would not have been necessary... (the box fight in the shed for example).
The bonus dvd is great too, gives you insight about Larsson, interesting.
Overall I am very happy with this pack, a worthy film adaption of Stieg Larrson's masterpiece.
Great movies, all three. The first is still my favourite, and can be watched by itself. The second and third movies are good too and they follow up on the mystery of Lisbeth's past.
I loved the fact that it was made first by the Swedes and not Hollywood - it felt realistic and genuine. The cinematography and locations were well done too.
The performances, especially Lisbeth's character, were excellent and totally believable.
Don't wait for the American remake, learn to read subtitles - it's definitely worth while.
Really great movies especially the first one but the fact it is in a diferent language just means you will have to get used to reading the subtitles. which can be a little bit much at times but if you can put up with reading the entire movie for yourself they are the movies to watch.
