Most DVD players nowdays (and blu-rays as well) are multi-region players. Often it's a case of reading the manual and knowing how to change the settings. I've bought DVDs (lots of them) that were not region 4 and they work fine on both my dvd players and my blu-ray.
I too have just tried to play My Miranda DV and found that it is not for region 4 , I read all the fine print very carefully before I bought it and there was no mention that it was not able to be played on Australian DVD players, I have season 2 on order I am hoping that this will be set for region 4,
All Australian buyers please note I just received my copy today and am now aware that it is a region 2 DVD so cannot be viewed on Australian region 4 players. THERE IS NO MENTION WHEN YOU ORDER THIS DVD THAT THIS IS NOT CAPABLE OF BEING VIEWED IN AUSTRALIA ON OUR DVD PLAYERS.
