This is based on a true story about a priest who went to live on an island full of lepers. He treated them as people which a lot of others didn't and they were all very grateful. He was a type of hero as he truly helped these outcasts, even in the face of personal danger for himself. It shows the pressures he was under and how difficult it was for him to keep up his good work, as well as the effect he had on people. David Wenham was good in the title role.
