Brilliant movie loved every minute of it, it show some of the culture at the same time it dispels alot of preconceptions of chinese beliefs, it is action pacted and great music

Classic movies and great price! Can't go past it! Great story and the music is mystifying. It'll have you singing along by the end of it, or at least humming.

The family watched Mulan together. Our 6 yr old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the animated tale about a girl who wants to bring honour to her family and especially stop her aged and injured father from going to war against the Huns. Mulan takes on a challenge that no woman has ever done before and she has many obstacles in her path. Her companions gradually accept the pretty boy who eventually earns the trust of the rest of the crew. Mulans biggest challenge occurs when she beats the awful Huns and saves the day. She also earns the respect from her crew. However, eventually her secret is revealed and she is shunned by those that she has learnt to be part of the team. In the end, Mulan uses her wits once again and saves the Imperial Palace from the marauding Huns and is honoured and therefore so is her family. She also earns the love from the Prince and I guess that is when the happy ever after happens. We are all awaiting for a rainy day to watch Mulan 2.
A great watch for all the family.

Mulan is a disney classic, deserving to be ranked up there with some of the best. Featuring simply awesome music, memorable characters, and a plot line that's filled with dialoge that keeps all viewers interested, it is not to be missed. Unfortunately, it's sequel does not keep up to these standards. While Mulan 2 is mildly entertaining with much of the same characters, alone with some new ones, it doesn't live up to its predecessor, which is a shame. Still, this is a worthy addition to any dvd collection.
