As I began to watch this movie I thought I wouldn't enjoy it because it appeared to be a childrens' movie. However after watching it it is obvious that the story has multiple levels aimed at children and adults. Jodi Foster and Abigail Preslin provide high quality performances. This movie is humorous and is suited for any child that loves animals and wildlife.

Nim's Island is a family film about a young girl who lives on a secret island, and enjoys books. When people come to the island and take Nim's father, she contacts the author of her favourite books, who is claustrophobic, but for some reason comes to the island to help Nim. Children may like this, but parents will probably find them selves wishing they had never introduced such rubbish to their children's lives. The acting is horrendous, the plot really doesn't make much sense at all, and the dilogue is appalling. The concept of the film was ok, but the execusion was just poor.
