The Wests are a one-family crime wave with a proud tradition in thievery, larceny and petty crime. Or at least they used to be. At the beginning of the series one of Outrageous Fortune, family matriarch Cheryl West decided enough is enough – the family must clean up their act and go straight.
They tried. Sort of. Well, most of them gave it a bit of a bash, but it's not easy to be a saint when you have the DNA of a sinner. Despite much opposition from her husband Wolf, and the occasional temptation to veer from her chosen path, Cheryl led by example. Sure there were a few laws broken along the way in the name of the greater good, and she did end up falling in love with a policeman, but even Cheryl finds it hard to maintain perfection, particularly when she's faced with: Wolf wanting back in; Jethro trying to keep Wolf and Sheree out of his apartment (and his bed); the Tool Guys being guys with tools; Loretta fighting to keep herself on side with the family; Grandpa on the hunt for the bastard who knocked up Rita; the Hoochie Girls falling to pieces and Pascalle trying to heal them all. It's tough work but someone's got to keep them in line.

One of New Zealnds best television series created... With great talent from the actors and awesome believable storylines this is fast becoming our very own cult drama/comedy series.
The Wests... Once Aucklands most infamous crime family is back with more drama, suspence and humour... A few new and not so nice characters have emerged to put the family to the test. Loretta finds that doing what she thinks is best for her family can come at a price... Pascale seems more on to it but... And Grandpa.... married?
Another great addition to the O.F. collection... and if you haven't got a collection. I suggest you start.

outrageous fortune season 4 is excellent lots of twists and excitement that only the west family can deliver.i recommend this to all outrageous fortune fans and if your not a fan yet,grab yourself a copy as you dont know what your missing.this show is awesome AAA+ ( i cant wait for season 5)
Love this show, characters just draw you in. The wears are easily the best family going around, the mix of drama and comedy will have you in tears laughing and also sitting on the edge of your seat waiting for what happens next
This show has to be one of my favourite TV series! And drama is not usually the genre I like.
This show is not only one of the best "New Zealand" Tv series, but one of the best all time series.
It is like an urban sopranos. Street level baddies, with goodies mixed is and so, so many colourful characters. The funny quips the grandfather makes alone, are worth watching.
I could rave about this show for ages!!! But because long reviews are boring, I can't imagine anyone NOT liking this show, well other than people who can't stand swearing, drug.. you know.. real life "street stuff". But in my opinion it all adds to the characters and the show, it's all totally relevant, not just filler scenes to fill in the time.
