Always loved Poldark and have read the series of books 3 times over and am glad I have found the dvds to watch, too.

Based on the popular novels of Winston Graham, this BBC drama series comes from way back in 1975...
Ross Poldark is played by Robin Ellis and Demelza by Angharad Rees. Elizabeth is played by Jill Townsend, Francis Poldark by Clive Francis & George Warleggan by Ralph Bates.
Ross Poldark is a British soldier who returns from the American wars to his native Cornwall to find his beloved, believing him to be dead, about to marry his cousin. He tries to re-open the family tin mines to restore his fortune...
