Prince of Egypt is a Beautiful engaging music filled film based on the story of Mosus in the bible. The film starts as Mosus when he was a little baby and his mother rushing to hide him as the Pharaoh wants all little boy babies to be murdered. His mother puts Mosus in a basket on a river and sings for his safety. The Pharaoh's daughter comes across him as her and her son are palying in the water; she decided to raise him as her own. Pharaoh's daughter's son Ramsus and Mosus become the best of friends, Mosus soon learns that he was born a slave and when he runs from home he learns to love and respect his people and he discovers that his father (Pharaoh) who raised him was the one who ordered all the young babies to be killed when he was young and that Pharaoh's slaves are his people. Mosus lives peacefully and marries Tzipporah and he recieves a message from God that he must return to Egypt and free Pharaoh's slaves. When Mosus returns to Egypt Ramsus (the brother he was raised with) is now Pharaoh and that he has no wish to let his slaves go. Mosus obeys God and sens plagues of Locusts, boils, frogs and eventually the death of every first-born son in every household unless they obey God's order to put Lamb's blood across their door to their household. After the death of his first-born son Ramsus agrees to let his slaves go and mosus leads the Hebrews (his people) out of Egypt. But Ramsus is still mad at Mosus and stll doesn't want his people to go. Mosus learns to obey God in every situation and he learns that God's will comes first and last in every circumstance.
this story is amazing, whether it be pure factual or not. I am not a very spiritual person, but I have regained my faith somewhat because I found this movie truly moving!
It may not be for every generation, but I believe people could learn a lot from this film.
It's the kind of story that leaves you feeling great about life and gave me tingles up my spine.
Totally recommend this flick!
