Prisoner:Cell Block H aired for 8 years from 1979 for an incredible 692 episodes. It was one of the most watched Australian soaps ever, at home and around the world. Made by Grundy Television, Prisoner was the first Australian show to tackle issues such as rape, homosexuality, murder and violence. Its massive audience has campaigned for years to have the entire series released on DVD. Here it is in its original uncut glory.

Prisoner Cell Block H is one of Australia's best long running tv series. There are 40 volumes on dvd which have recently been released. The series is about women inside a prison. There is the usual regular cast of prisoners and officers but also you will see new prisoners coming and others leaving. These early episodes star Bea Smith as Wentworth's "Top Dog". Overall a great series full of drama and action.
