my grand daughter enjoyed this movie greatly. i am annoyed that I'm requied to write a certain amount of words before my reveiw is excepted. Will not partisipate next time if sort and sweet is not good enough
As far as 'gratuitous stories about animals' go, this one really is one of the better ones I have seen. It has a steller cast of voice actors, and if you listen closely you can work out who they are. Hayden (the girl) is a great actor, and brings something special to the cast. A great story for both the adults and the kids. Well worth watching.
It's fun for the whole family so have penty of popcorn ready.Have you ever seen a zebra run in a race before?Stripes has and it all began when as a foal he was lost in a thunderstrom and a farmer saved him.Growing up on the farm that was next door to a racing track all Stripes knew and wanted was to race. But he wasn't allowed to until one day he had too.Now he has to save the farm ,his girlfriendand farm animals.
This is a movie that touches all the right spots. It has Stripes striving for an unattainable goal, Channing striving for her own life, the loyalty and help of friends and the tragedy of a love lost. Just remember this isn't trying to be real life "gritty" drama. It's entertainment and my wife and I were satisfyingly entertained. If I had any complaints it would be with the inclusion of Snoop Dogg's character. It was a waste of screen time and I wish I could have gotten a better feel for the hate of the stallion Trenton. It's a formulaic movie but it follows the formula well with a new twist, likable and hate able characters.
this movie is fanatsic about a zebra who is left behind by the circus and ends up growin up on a farm. He thinks he is a horse and wants to run but is not allowed because he is a zebra but gets his chance. This is a great movie.
Racing Stripes is an amazingly entertaining film about a zebra who wants to race like a race horse. Frankie Muniz voices Stripes. The film features other great actors such as Whoopi Goldberg and David Spade. Rising Star Hayden Panettiere features in a human role in the film, being the rider of Stripes. Her debut album is due for release in August 2007. A fantastic film for pepole of all ages
Such a fantastic movie. If you loved family favourite Babe, then this is right up your alley.
A sweet tale of a zebra, Stripes (voiced by Malcolm in the Middle's Frakie Muniz) who is accidently left behind by his circus family and is found by a former racehorse trainer. Stripes begins to think that he is a racehorse, not the only one with an identity problem (who would forget Goose the mobster Pelican?). With the help of the other barnyard pals, a couple of flies and of course his young girl owner Stripes proves his critics wrong when he enters the world of horse racing.
A great flick the whole family can enjoy.
Have you ever heard of a zebra who thinks he is a race horse? In Racing Stripes there is such a zebra. It all starts out when a zebra from the circus gets left behind in the middle of the road out in the rain. Then along comes a farmer named Nolan Walsh and takes Stripes to his farm. Nolan and his daughter, Channing Walsh, take care of the zebra. Throughout this movie Stripes has trouble with two other racehorses. During all this drama, Stripes finds romance and falls in love with a female Thoroughbred named Sandy. There is an upcoming race and Nolan and his daughter decide whether or not to enter Stripes. The duo decides to enter Stripes and the race begins. They both are worried because the race horses are Thoroughbreds and Stripes is a zebra racing for the first time! Does Stripes win the race? A lovely film about a Zebra that thinks it is a race horse. The girl is over protected by her Dad and has to batle to achieve her plans of riding her Zebra in a race. A must see for all horse lovers but will be enjoyed by a wide variety of people. The main female character is now in the series Heroes screening currently. She does a great job in this film. Loved the flies.
A baby zebra (voice of Frankie Muniz) is accidentally left behind by a traveling circus and is found by a thoroughbred horse trainer, Nolan Walsh (Bruce Greenwood). Nolan takes the zebra home, and his teenage daughter Channing (Hayden Panettiere) wants to keep him as a pet. She names the baby zebra Stripes. The farm is located near the racetrack and the zebra grows up believing that he is a racehorse. Stripes has a dream of racing the other horses at the track, and to get into shape, Stripes races the mailman in his truck. All the farm animals help Stripes and Channing achieve their racing dream. This is a cute movie made in the same framework as the movie 'Babe', where all the animals speak to each other. The horseflies Scuzz and Buzz (voices of David Spade and Steve Harvey) had some of the funniest scenes. This is a light hearted film that your children will like. Don't take the script too seriously or you will miss the fun.
