1942. Joseph is eleven. And this June morning he must go to school a yellow star sewn on his chest. At 4am his family are awakened by shouts and banging on doors as men in black uniforms burst into apartments. Jo and his family are hauled out of their beds and onto buses. 13000 Jews are crammed into the Winter Velodrome in Paris. This is the biggest round up in history and perpetrated by collaborating French police.
