An all time classic that every family should on. I still consider this movie the best of all the Star wars epic. I still recalll the release of this movie as 'containing no bad language, no sex scenes and only one drop of blood, shed. ' It has to be the epitome of all movies in the good versus evil category. There is a favourite character for everyone, plenty of action and humour, special effects and imagination. Movies don't get any better than this and it really hasn't dated!

This is the movie that probably changed sci-fi and fantasy films of the cinema, full of action, imagination, nostalgia, character development and charm. The 4th movie of the Star Wars trilogy, but the first and original Star Wars movie filmed, it starts with a ship being invaded by Darth Vader, who has kidnapped Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher). Later on, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) teams up with Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), Ben Kenobi (Alec Guiness), C-3PO (Anthony Daniels) and R2-D2 (Kenny Baker) in an attempt to rescue the Princess Leia, who leads a group of rebels to defy the evil empire controlled by a ruthless Sith Lord and guarded by his trusted servant, Darth Vader. They must also stop the Death Star from destroying the galaxy. The result is one huge mission to save the galaxy, supported by superb direction and story from George Lucas and a memorable music score from John Williams.

Each character was given his/her unique purpose in the movie, but all are committed to achieving triumph of the dark forces of evil. This fast-paced movie gives the audience a break from the reality of the problematic world, and takes you to a journey into an imagination beyond belief. Not to be missed.

This movie is the first star wars movie and still the best. Luke Skywalker finds out he is the last remaining Jedi Knight when his aunt and uncle are killed by the Dark forces. Joined by Princess Leia, Han Solo, R2D2, C3PO and a host of other interesing charactes, this movie is a great romp.

Star wars are all time classics that have rocked the film world. In my opinion they are some of the best sci-fi movies ever. Its about jedis and different empires some bad and some good. You have the dark side jedis and good side jedis who are like a future samari. Very good movie. Even it though it was the first ever made it is the forth in the story line.
