this movie was built up quite a bit, yet it actually delivered for me. nicole was perfect as a stepford wife. the ending was a little weak, however what could you expect. i feel that more could have been done with the movie to make it more exciting, however for what it is, it is a good movie and well worth a watch or two.

While different from the book, I found it to be better as it placed the characters in modern day scenarios. I enjoyed its premise, that the perfect woman HAS to be a robot. It contains humourous elements and is a must see for the modern day career woman in need of a laugh.

The stepford wives
This is a wonderfully funny remake. I think that I liked this one better than the original. It is enjoyable and the whole fanliy will be laughing from the very beginning to the very end. A great watch and I would have to give it five out of five stars.

Dodgy at best the Stepford Wives manages to stuff up a very promising premise and consequently it becomes rather than the scathing satire on contemporary society - a limp mess. Presents a picture of idealised suburban life that is too good to be true. Not particularly funny, lacking any real bite or edge. A Shame.

i dont know that i was too fussed on this movie it is the standard bloke dream movie where the guy wants to make the girl perfect. bette middler played her part excellently and nicole kidman wasnt too bad either but i did not really take to the plot. it was just silly
