In this delightful romantic comedy, Reese Witherspoon stars as sophisticated Melanie Carmichael, a rising New York designer who suddenly finds herself engaged to the city's most eligible bachelor. But this is no fairy tale romance for Melanie. She has a secret past that includes Jake (Josh Lucas), the backwoods husband she married in highschool, who refuses to divorce her. Determined to end their marriage and sever all ties with her past once and for all, Melanie returns to Alabama. But home starts to tug at her heartstrings, and what she thought she wanted may not be what she wants after all.

Sweet Home Alabama is a very good movie with charm, humor, sadness and most of all, genial acting! Reese Witherspoon and Josh Lucas are the two characters that you can relate to. You can relate to the whole movie, but what makes it good is that it was made with humor. The concept and plot is very smart, when the tone is told with humour even in situations that are serious. It is heaps of fun, so full of amusing characters, excellent acting and an excellent ending. Maybe a movie that mostly us girls like to watch, but anyway a good movie.
