Top Gear returns with the guys getting up to what they do best messing around with motors in some of the most hilarious and extraordinary scenarios imaginable. Presented in a metal SteelBook, Series 16 is packed full of serious cars and serious power. The series kicks off with Jeremy, Richard and James embarking on a monster US road trip. Later in the series James makes a rare visit to the test track in the insane Aerial Atom V8 and Jeremy races the new Jaguar XJ against something even bigger and more powerful the rotation of the Earth itself. The boys also head to Albania to test the Rolls-Royce Ghost, a Mercedes S65 AMG and a rather unusual Bentley Mulsanne. With all this plus celebrity guests including John Bishop, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and Boris Becker in the Reasonably Priced Car, its another high-octane series from the worlds biggest car show. Once again the Top Gear lads have nailed another brilliant season.
One of the great things about this series is the inclusion on 3 really entertaining road trips.
The first trip sees the guys return to the USA with Jezza in the new Mercedes SLS AMG, Captain slow in the stunning Ferrari 458 and Hammond in the new Porsche GT3 RS. Once on site all the usual mischief is close in tow. The second trip takes the team to Iraq - yes Iraq. This is quite an eye opening journey given the somewhat volatile nature of that area of the world, but there are still plenty of laughs to be had. The third adventure takes place in Albania and in my opinion is the funniest of the three as in many ways it is less about the cars and more about the lads taking the mickey out of each other.
And don't forget once you have finished with those three there is still the rest of the regular season to get stuck into!
