Urban Legends: The Final Cut follows Amy Mayfield (Morrison), a student at Alpine University who struggles to complete her thesis film on urban legends - only to have her crew members fall prey to fatal 'accidents.' Suspicious, Amy investigates and discovers a much more sinister hand at work. Now she must unmask the killer before she, too, becomes an urban legend.
The follow up to the first movie loses a lot of the edge, which is the normal for sequels. More teens get sliced and diced by the fencing masked killer. Fans of slasher films will get a kick out of this, but others may want to stick with films a little more original.

Urban Legends Final Cut is a movie about a movie, basically, and this little twist to the classic horror formula plays out rather well. At the country's most distinguished film-making school, the Hitchcock Award for best student movie is the ultimate accomplishment, all but guaranteeing the winner a quick jump to a directing chair in Hollywood. The protagonist, Amy, decides to break away from her documentary roots and produce a horror movie, one in which a serial killer patterns his murders on urban legends. As Amy begins filming, several of her fellow students are murdered, and eventually the killer comes after her. All told, this is a better-than-average slasher film, combining good acting, great special effects, and an actual storyline that doesn't reveal its most important secrets until the very end. The special effects are pretty good, and there is a nice variety to be found in the urban legend-based murders. The movie has its lighter side, as well, obviously not taking itself too seriously. The movie could be considered rather Scream-like, but it has enough character of its own to succeed in its own right - but it's not as good as the original.
this was a mildly good sequel, left a bit to be desired, but was largely good, as it continued on the interesting premise of the urban legends coming to life, which is pretty enjoyable. like the reviewers below, i think that the kidney scene deserves a mention too, its pretty creepy and weird!
this was a pretty good movie, not as good as the first one in my opinion thoguh. this movie had a whole bunch of unknowns in it, unlike the first one. i think that they did a great job of the kidney- bath scene, realy creeped me out at the time of watching it! pretty good watch, quite scarey in some parts so watch it with others!
