This is one of those handful of films that gives the much maligned TV movie genre a good name. Put together a good director and good script and get two very good actors in the leads and you have a compelling, very well made drama about the early days of Franklin Roosevelt, prior to his election as president. Branagh especially is exceptional. Well worth watching; it would be good if the same team made a sequel covering his years as president.
