I like the movie a lot but its so sad i cry every time watch it. So i kinda stopped watching it. Its more of a girl film in the way that the guys are hot and its very heartfelt, other then the storms I really don't see guy getting to into the movie. On the whole its a typical film, you can do a lot worse then this film.

Dont go study a year abroad, rather study a year on a boat that is sailing across the oceans. Sounds exciting, well it is. Watch as these teenagers fight one another to find there place among the world and finally how they become one big family. this pretty picture does not last long as the ending of the movie has a great climax but not a happy one.

deffinetly enjoyed watching this movie and would recommend it to anyone. 4 out of 5

I'm not much of a fan of sea movies, as, on the whole, they are rather badly staged and a bit boring despite all the storms and so forth. They tend to be rather static prior to all the water and wind. "White Squall", however, has two things going for it: it does have a very well staged storm that looks incredibly realistic, and it does have the solid, dependable presence of Jeff Bridges - he anchors (ha!) the film, especially when it tends to wander a little in places, and focus too much on the boys. Entertaining, but not perfect.
