Olivia Newton-John plays the goddess of dance in this rock/pop musical, based on the 1947 film 'Down To Earth'. She is sent down from the heavens by Zeus to inspire a frustrated young artist and a nightclub owner to realise their dreams in the form of a rollerdisco. The real-life god of dance Gene Kelly makes an appearance.

great singing from the pretty lady, and rather surreal special effects. i'd say this was geared for the teen- ish audience. i'm not sure how well this has aged, but i'd say that it's best feature is the soundtrack. this was made at a time when rollerskating on the screen was very big! the cgi is not that great - especially for todays audience who get to see some very convincing stuff. but the dialogue is alright
