Glee's first holiday album is as sentimental and mischievous as Gleeks would expect, from Lea Michele's "O Holy Night" to Matthew Morrison and k.d. lang's "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch." In true glee club fashion, the cast does ladies-only and men-only songs -- such as Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, and Kevin McHale's "Jingle Bells" -- as well as co-ed performances like Jenna Ushkowitz, Amber Riley, and Chris Colfer's "We Need a Little Christmas." Unfortunately I've been advised this is out of stock and I still haven't had the pleasure of receiving the CD; still waiting.
Okay we all love Glee and i enjoy watching the show but this cd is all about the cast grabbing some extra money in their pockets for christmas! you can download all these songs (or just the ones you like) and I'msure its just the same. not that any of these songs are in the show because if they were, it would totally be worth buying it! but its not.
Spend your money on things that count
Not bad, not great. I expected something a little better and more creative for this album, but I guess it was better that they stuck closer to the song instead of trying to do a way out arrangement. My favourite track was definitely 'Last Christmas' - it was arranged very well. A good album to add to the holiday playlist.
