Holland's goth metal outfit Within Temptation blend symphonic elements with the heavy grind of classic metal. THE HEART OF EVERYTHING, the group's sixth studio release, has all the large-screen sweep and brain-curving sonics of Within Temptation's previous releases, but comes across with an even stronger sense of purpose. Frontwoman Sharon den Adel sings in full powerhouse mode, while the band rages behind her, yet it's the grandiose arrangements that truly stand out, and--from the single "What Have You Done" to the ballad "Frozen"-- THE HEART OF EVERYTHING has many such moments.

The Heart oF Everything is the latest offering by Within Temptation. The first track on the album "The Howling", is a track they wrote for the video game "The Choronicles of Spellborn". Within Temptation's efforts on this album reflect a turn to having a more popular, accesible sound than previous albums. The tracks "Frozen", "The Truth Beneath the Rose", "Final Destination", and "All I need" become instant classics to Within Temptation fans.

Sharon Dan Adel's vocals are more accomplished and powerful, and the album is an excellent progression for the band, full of a refreshing sound and great new tracks.
