Possessing one of the most powerful and distinctive voices in alternative rock, Chad Kroeger led Nickelback to the top of the post-grunge heap with a combination of Metallica-esque riffing and some of the hugest hooks this side of Nirvana. Riding on the massive radio success of the single "Someday," THE LONG ROAD delivers a collection of unusually well crafted lyrics swathed in an energetic blend of massive-sounding de-tuned guitars and rapid-fire vocal rhythms. Throughout, Kroeger spins appropriately angst-ridden tales of hard living and harder love, which are occasionally tempered by (slightly) lighter moments such as the Bob Seger-like road anthem "See You at the Show," and "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good," a classic I've-been-down-so-long-I-can't-get-up rocker. Like contemporary hit-makers Staind and Creed, Nickelback knows how to turn pain into gold, rocking with a winning combination of gut-wrenching power and melancholy tenderness.

Another Great album by Nickelback, ever progressing using slightly different techniques, if you liked the New stuff then you will like the old stuff. Great softer deeper meaning songs mixed with fast paced heavy songs, perfect for any hard rock fan. Don't be afraid to buy this album if you were turned off by any of Nickelback's other albums, as its close to one of their best!
another good album from nickelback, though perhaps not as strong as some of their recent releases. this also has very little songs on it, which is a real dissapointment, as they dont get to show much off in their songs. however what they do show off is complex songs and lyrics, that make you think, such as in Someday. a must own for any rock fan.
Nickelback is a great rock band. This album, The Long Road emphasises Nickelback’s hold on the rock world. The great Rock/Hard rock sound can be herd in these notable songs: Flat On The Floor, Someday, Feelin' Way Too Damn Good, Figured You Out and Another Hole In The Head, if you want to give Nickelback a try, then this is a good album to buy.
This is a good rock/ pop rock album, this is the last good album that nickle back did before they turned ways too poppy, it has some real rock songs on it and some nice chill out (get in the girls good books style) songs, the best being feelin way to damn good and see you at the show
i did not enjoy this cd at all. nickelback used to be hard rock but they have gone soft and i am not enjoying their music these days. its too slow and whiney. any enjoyment i got from this cd was short lived. i found the long road to be boring, it just didnt have that special something that makes u want to listen to it again!
Nickleback started out with a ahrd rock base and contiued it on silverside up but this album dropped sown to pop rock, its an ok album with some rockier tracks like figured you out but yea its generally a pop rock album and not to bad at that, they really pulled it off well as
unlike all of Nicklebacks previous albums the long road is a very pop rock-based album, with songs like "someday" its nicklebacks first soft album which disapointed many, i still enjoyed the album with some mean rock songs like "flat on the floor"
