absolution is by far my favourite muse album. if you can, i suggest that you definatley buy it if you are into bands like silverchair and other similar rock bands. their sound is really original and enjoyable. a uniue and talented band. this is probably their best album yet, it's very good. full of awesome songs.
This third album by the band Muse polishes the style and skill that they had been developing and experimenting with over the last two albums, bringing a dark, edgy and rather sensuous style to their progressive/electronic rock melodies. As usual, the songs demonstrate a wonderful versatility from the band, with slow, piano-based ballads as well as very fast-paced, riff-heavy songs to be found here; a cliché, but really there is something for everyone here. All the songs are wonderfully constructed and sound brilliant; the instrumentals, especially the guitar work is beyond spectacular. If you’ve been enjoying any of the work by Muse so far, this album will not disappoint. One album of progressive rock that will be considered a classic in the future.
This is one of the best albums EVER Made.
Muse are a brilliant band which i believe are very underrated especially here in nz, the album has a mixture of types of songs, Stockholm Syndrome is a hard fast paced rock song, then there is Sing for Absolution which is a dark, softer song and many of the songs blend rock with classical music which works really well together! Saw them yesterday at big day out, they were the best act there in my oppinion, get this album now!
this is yet another wicked muse cd, they always make a really fantastic album which is rarely a disappointment, and always makes for one of the years best rock albums. i love these guys, as they always have something really unique about their work that not many other artisits these days have. i love the song Thoughts Of A Dying Atheist!
If Showbiz was a precoious begining and Origin Of Symmetry a dark promise then Absolution is where Muse really come together. Its sensory overload time, swirling sounds are densely layered and fraught with melodramtic intent and combined with a arresting vocals and dark lyrics. Its overpowering sure but that may just be the point.
