Opeth: Mikael Akerfeldt (vocals, guitar); Peter Lindgren (guitar); Martin Mendez (bass); Martin Lopez (drums).
On their third album -- and first to be released simultaneously in Europe and the U.S. -- Opeth continues to refine their epic, progressive death metal style, still replete with harmonized leads and acoustic passages. My Arms, Your Hearse flows logically from one composition to the next, and the mostly long songs have enough variation in texture and mood to hold the listener's interest fairly consistently. ~ Steve Huey

What a journey! this album from Opeth is truely outstanding. From the relentless "April Ethereal" to the heart wrenching final track "Epilogue" this album is a masterpiece. This album is essential for anyone who is into progressive metal music such as Porcupine Tree or Dream Theater. There is so much depth to this album, you will never get sick of it. The album also includes a cover song called "Remember Tomorrow" which fits in perfectly to the overall album. Get this!
Thia is my favourite Opeth album. This album is a pure masterpiece from the mind of frontman & songwriter Mikael Akerfeldt, a concept album telling the haunting story of a Ghost who comes home to see his wife who is in grief but is unaware of his presence. The last word of each song is the name of the next, it flows through the seasons starting with Spring through to Winter.
