MONGOL chronicles the dramatic, early life of military leader Genghis Khan and his rise to greatness. Setting the musical tone for the film is composer Tuomas Kantelinen. Although a relative unknown in America, Kantelinen has scored over 30 films in his native Finland. His ability to accentuate passion, drama, tragedy, and triumph is evident on MONGOL, whose old school qualities hearken back to the classic Hollywood epic film composers, such as Miklos Rozsa, Alex North, and Elmer Bernstein.
