Cranny (acoustic guitar); Jim Moginie, Ben Fletcher (electric guitar); Stephanie Zarka, Michele O'Young (violin); David Wicks (viola); Andy Hines (cello); Melanie Vanden Broek (bassoon); Andy Meisel (double bass); Dave Symes (bass guitar); Jeff De Araujo (drums).
  • Additional personnel: Jessica Chapnik (vocals).
  • Australian singer/songwriter Sarah Blasko specializes in dreamy folk-pop, with slightly off-kilter melodies, sung in a pretty, unsteady warble. This second album was co-produced by Midnight Oil's Jim Moginie, and features nice little touches like the wry French horn on "Explain," and the autumnal distorted electric guitar intro of "The Garden's End." Blasko knows how to create drama and dynamics on every song, never letting things veer into pathos.

3 of 5 Stars! Customer review on 02/02/2008

there was a lot of hype about this CD. considering the overture & the underscore was a hit for sarah. i didnt really get into this album, quite dissapointing actually. its different to the overture & the underscore. you won't find any songs like 'dont u eva' on what the sea wants, the sea will have. but i guess if you're a die hard sarah blasko fan. i would say though that this album is more 'mature' than her previous attempts
