Red Hot Chili Peppers: Flea, John Frusciante, Anthony Keidis, Chad Smith.
Recording information: The Mansion At Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, California.
An ambitious double album, STADIUM ARCADIUM finds the Red Hot Chili Peppers building on their more mature, latter-day approach, while also acknowledging their lighthearted, youthful sound. The Los Angeles-based funk-rock quartet's third studio outing since John Frusciante returned to the fold, this 2006 release once again reinforces how crucial the guitarist is to the Peppers' aesthetic, with his mix of swirling, psychedelic leads and heavy riffs providing the perfect foil to Flea's bold bass heroics. (Instrumentally, the record also benefits from guest appearances by Mars Volta guitarist Omar Rodriguez, percussionists Paulinho Da Costa and Lenny Castro, and the legendary Billy Preston on clavinet.)
Remarkably consistent for a two-disc, 28-song offering, STADIUM ARCADIUM kicks off with "Dani California," an energetic track that hints at a Beatles influence, while showcasing vocalist Anthony Kiedis's neo-rap delivery and the tight rhythmic interplay of Flea and drummer Chad Smith. Other highlights of this collection include the emotive "Wet Sand" and the frenetic "Torture Me," which provide nice counterpoints to loose, limber tunes such as the funk workouts "Hump De Bump" and "C'mon Girl." In many ways a culmination of the Chili Peppers' decades-spanning musical evolution, STADIUM ARCADIUM stands as one of the group's most impressive efforts.

It took me ages to get this chili peppers album, but i am so glad i did i actually really love it and the second cd is just as good i was worried there would be a cd full of good songs then a cd with av- crap songs but there isnt its all good! which is fantastic, now i only wish i got the box set!!!
I recon this album is alright, there's a lot of great music on the two discs and I only really disliked one or two tracks. As for claims that it isn't as good as blood sugar sex magick, well, I think they're right but not by much. Anyone who likes the music that the chilis have put out in the past won't be disappointed by Stadium Arcadium.

Long standing Chilis reign supreme yet again with this standout double album. It's not hard to see why these guys are still around. Stadium Arcadium will appeal to fans of Californication, but will not disappoint a true RHCP fan all the way.
SA features some fantastic songs including Dani California, Snow (Hey Ho) and of course the latest Hump De Bump.
Giving up drugs only leaves room for sex and rock n roll.
A great double cd by rock legends The Red Hot Chili Peppers. this album is quite recent and shows some change in sound from the red Hot Chili Peppers but they still retain their old attitude. This double cd is similar in sound to californication and has many great songs like "Snow (Hey Oh)" and "Dani California". A must have for all Red Hot chilli Pepprs fans and a great buy.
One piece of solid greatness. This is a must for any collection the lush guitar work and amzing bass are perfectly complemented by Kiedis' incredible vocals and Chad's amazing beats. Every track is unforgettable from the powerful opener, Dani California through to the epic closer, Death of a Martian. The gutar solos are amazing and the songwriting simply superb. A must have.
stadium arcadium is red hot chili pepper's latest, and to honest, i haven't yet given it a good listen, but what i have heard i really do quite like. there are some great songs on here, really catchy rock songs that have made the red hot chili peppers as successful as tehy are today. recommended album.
This album is just amazing. It has such a good mix of songs. It has it all. Who would have thought that the Red Hot Chili Peppers would have come back with a double album that is so brilliant. They really are something extra special, and still have it after all these years. I also love the title of this album, it's so quirky but brilliant.
this is one of the best albums of 2006! a great deal where you get 2 cds in one, each with 14 songs which means u get 28 BRILLIANT songs! you can listen to this whole album without getting sick of it and it appeals to a wide range of audiences. if you are a fan of the chilis then you HAVE to have this album its probably their bet yet! favourites are dani california, hump de bump desecration smile and 21st century....and heaps more
this is such a great album from the red hot chilli peppers, its really their most emotional and mature album to date, as the lyrics show. you are really getting a good deal here, with two cds filled with awesome songs, similar to the radio hits dani california and hump de bump, which, if you like those songs, you are sure to love this album. this is excellent for any mood, and is a great buy.
