This has to be my all time favourite album. I absolutely love Peaches and Cream and What you Want, but every track is great.

these guys are a pretty talented aussie band. they vary their sounds and vocals quite a bit, which is always good as it keeps things interesting. there are plenty of great tracks on here, but i have to say that my fave would be "Zebra", its got such a catchy beat, i fell in love with it when i heard it, and its what got me into this band in the first place.

While not their best work, Sunrise over Sea still offers the everpresent talent that is John Butler Trio.
A fantastic album to really just sit down and listen to without requiring any thought.
Sunrise gave us some great radio tracks, and about time too. A great Aussie act that to really appreciate what they can offer one must see them live and before doing so warm up with this album.

thi sis some pretty great chill out music from the john butler trio. the stand out tracks for me are zebra, there'll come a time, peaches and cream and bound to ramble. if you loved their radio single then this album is for you as they're pretty consistent with their style. this is a greeat release from the john butler trio

Sunrise Over the Sea is a great album, it is the Trio refined down into radio friendliness. This does however in my opinion take away some of the awesomeness, but the essence is still there. “Treat Yo Mama” has some great harmonising vocals, whilst “Hello” has the familiar guitar ramblings that should keep old fans happy, and the hit “Zebra” is on here. It is catchy as hell. I do feel however there are some pointless moments on here, nevertheless it is good. 7/10

The first listenable albumn from the severely self indulgent John Butler and his Trio. There are some really good song here and they don't all go for over twelve minutes but the albumn is not one that keeps you coming back for more. Its good but its not compelling and my copy found itself gathering dust because I totally lost interest after a couple of listens.

I wasn't as rapt in this album as much as I was expecting to be. A few rather dull tracks, and a couple of the songs tend to have a very similar sound to each other. This causes the problem of the tracks merging into one, and none being particularly memorable. Ideal for background music at a dinner party or with drinks. Definitely a talented band, just not their best work.
