Texans can proudly add the metalists of Drowning Pool to the list of accomplished musical Dallas natives that often points towards Pantera as a noted benchmark. Years of touring with Kittie and Sevendust helped to build a groundswell that made the signing of the band, and subsequent release of SINNER an anticipated event. As far as debuts go, Drowning Pool displays hard-won skill; well crafted songs that touch on recurring themes of free thought and warn of blind faith in organized religion. Vocalist Dave Williams clearly comes from the Phil Anselmo (of Pantera) school, balancing throat-ripping ferocity with clean vocals, ruddering the dynamics of Drowning Pool in a dominant fashion. Producer Jay Baumgardner (Coal Chamber, Papa Roach) played a mentoring role in the sessions for SINNER, capitalizing on the band's strength and well-oiled tightness.

This is drowning pools best album so far, too bad the brilliant vocalist had to leave us, sinner is a mind blowingly awesome song, the next vocalist wasnnt gery good at all and cant wait to hear the new one but dave is easily the best thing to happen to drowning pool, bodies must be there best knwon song and thtas coz its weomse but really the whole albums awesome
droening pool debut album and easily their best, with their original vocalist in it its just a great case of metal at its best, sinner and bodies were the biggest singles from this al;bum but i really liked tear away and told you so, well worth getting especially if you like drowning pools newer stuff
Debut album by heavy metal band drowning pool. The vocals here are very good and the guitar playing is very heavy. I really like this band and this is probably their best and heaviest album. The drummer absolutely rocks. Some of their best songs on here. I suggest anybody checks this one out.
