the academy is... are a great band. though their music is quite poppy its still a really good listen. the song slow down is awesome and makes you want to sing along. This album is a must have for any fan of the academy is... for sure. and the art work in the booklet is so cool too.

The vocalist William Beckette might seem familiar and yes he is also from the band Cobra Starship which have both signed onto the new "it" record label Fueled by Ramen founded by Fall out boy's Pete Wentz! If you've heard and like other bands material who have signed to this label like Cute is what we aim for, Paramore and Pan!c at the disco, you'll definately LOVE this band without a doubt :)

awsome album! great for people who also like other fueled by ramen artists like cute is what we aim for, cobra starship, panic at the disco, gym class heroes and of course fall out boy. this band has a sound of its own which is less pop than some of the other artists. i didnt really expoect much from them as i didnt really know any of their music but i am happy i discovered it. i recommend this album

the academy is can easily be compared to bands such as panic! at the disco and fall out boy, but that doesn't mean that they don't ahve a sound of their own. the academy is has a really original bunch of songs, all flowing with pop-punk style and heaps of positive energy. get into the band if you like the sound of that.

My friend recommended The Academy is to me and i am so greatful. they are such a fantastic band. Almost here would have to be my favourite cd of theirs, it has such great songs on them. i couldnt even chose a favourite. If you like panic! or fall out boy then you are sure to love the academy is!

when my friend told me to check out the academy is i downloaded some songs and now i love their music so much. its such a good listen. my personal favourites would have to be 'black mamba' and 'slow down' but every track on this cd is real good. i would definitly recommend this cd.

wow, i LOVE this cd! the first time i heard it i fell in love with it, and so many of the tracks on it such as Black Mamba, and down And Out, which has some really good beats and lyrics to it. the track Black Mamba would have to be my fave, as it has some wicked as beats to it! i would really recomend this!!

almost here is a wicked album bt the academy is, a great debut album indeed. teh standout tracks for me are checkmarks, seasons and skeptics and true believers, tehse are my favourites on the album although every songs is likeable. their sound is dance rock with great, strong vocals.

this is a really wicked album! it's dance rock type music that is really catchy. the vocals are really good, its not often that you come across a really good singer in a band. their musical sound is similar to panic at teh disco and fall out boy as they are on the same record label. check out "skeptics and true believers" and "chack marks" if oyu listen to their stuff before getting the ablum. its wicked as!
