On its first Sub Pop release, 2008's SUN GIANT EP, the heralded Seattle group Fleet Foxes presents a mesmerizing five-song set. Often recalling My Morning Jacket on the British folk kick, the young indie-pop act offers up plenty of sonorous vocal harmonies (most notably on the spare title track) and jangly acoustic-guitar lines (see the chiming "English House"), perfectly setting the stage for its highly anticipated full-length debut, RAGGED WOOD.

the quality of every song on this ep is easily on par with that of the full length debut. beginning with an accapella hymn the reverb never stops dripping of the pitch perfect voices, and if you have seen fleet foxes live you will know this is not autotune. if you enjoyed the debut you will undoubtedly enjoy this ep. if you folk/country tinged music you will enjoy this cd. if you even like music at all, just a little bit, and mainly you only have bob dylan's legend and the beatles sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band cds. then you will like this album.
