9 cubes, 54 images, over 10 million possible combos, unlimited stories! Recipient of Dr. Toy's "10 Best Games" Award, the "Major Fun Award" and "People's Choice Award". How it works...Simply roll all 9 dice, examine each of the face-up images and let them guide your imagination through a story that begins with "Once upon a time...". The secret is not to think too deeply. Simply 'gulp' in the images and start talking. And remember, there is no wrong answer! The nine dice, each with a unique image on all six sides, hold a total of 54 images. This means that with every roll, there are over 10 million combination's for you to use as the inspiration for your story. The uses for Rory's Story Cubes are boundless. Play them while travelling, waiting in a restaurant, in the classroom, as an icebreaker, for idea generation, or to make learning a new language more fun.
This product contains small parts and is a choking hazard so not suitable for children under 3 years old.
This is a great game. It inspires creativity as the kids (and us), have to use the pictures on the dice to continue the story. We play it in the car as it is easily carried around. We will also take it camping next week.
Our son has high-functioning autism and it is good for him as it is visual. The kids are learning to make their stories longer and be more and more creative with what they can say with the picture they have.
These Story cubes have been extremely useful to my line of work. I have used the activities to help students with understanding sequencing and as a fun activity to get them interested in storytelling and give them prompts.
It is not only fun for young children but also Teenagers and adults alike.
I am really happy I decided to purchase this product A+.
This was a great way for my kids to start their own stories. Just roll the dice and see what pictures come up. A great way to kick off so many interesting stories. Also lots of fun when played in teams that can help each other make unique story lines!! Great for all ages.
A fantastic game that can take as much or little time as you like. My 4 year old has a ball as well as his 7 year old cousin. An excellent game to take camping or on holidays to keep boredom at bay during travel.
This item was a gift. My friend started teaching this year and was thrilled with all the books and cubes I brought for her. I have just brought more things for my daughter-in-Law, who is also a teacher.
