I bought this item to use in a Doctor Who themed bathroom as a birthday gift for my boyfriend. I figured it would make a good box to hold random bathroom doodads, and sure enough, it does. It would work well as an ice bucket assuming you had long ice tongs to be able to snag the cubes at the bottom.
