My son loves this! We got him one for his 1st Birthday and I was able to programme it to sing his name and a happy birthday song (aswell as others from a huge list on the website) so it was already to go when he opened it.
Downside on the lullaby music is if Scout is in bed with my boy the music turns off just by pressing another button but the 2,5 or 10 min sleepy time music settings are good.
My pal Scout is a fantastic toy for babies and young children! We have purchsed a couple for gifts. Our son loves the way it uses his name and sings songs about him. It's much better if you can personalise it, so if your child has an unusual name check the Leapfrog website to make sure the name is on their data base. We love the British accent as it's much closer to ours than American speaking toys. Much cheaper to buy from fishpond than in-store!
It is a good toy that actually interacts with the user and therefore provides a better learning experience for the user. My Pal Scout also provides the child with a sense of security and also introduces them to many new areas such as music. It is a good toy that i would recommend to any parents.
