Reviews

This finale to the six-book "Acorna" saga will please fans of the series as it neatly wraps up all of the different challenges that our unicorn-horned heroine has faced-and introduces some new ones. Picking up where Acorna's Rebels left her, Acorna saves her long-lost (and oddly acting) mate, fends off threats from the insect-like Khleevi, recovers some special gemstones useful in terraforming, and minds the Ancestors' timestream machines. There are a couple of big battles, and action ranges all over space. Anna Fields is a fine narrator, but her talents and smooth voice are better suited to stories with smaller casts of characters; also, it is important to note that listeners unfamiliar with the series will be hopelessly confused, making this only for libraries where "Acorna" is popular.-Douglas C.
