About the Author

Dr. Steven Eckert attended the Ohio State University College of Dentistry and completed a General Practice Residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago. He was on staff at the Mayo Clinic where he served as Graduate Program Director for Prosthodontics. In 2010 he retired from the Mayo Clinic only to begin a full-time private practice devoted to implant dentistry at the ClearChoice Dental Implant Center of Minneapolis. He remains Full Professor Emeritus in Dentistry at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Adjunct Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and Director of Research for ClearChoice. He has been an editor for three scientific journals and is currently Editor-in-Chief for the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants, a position he has held for more than a decade. Dr. Rhonda Jacob is a Board-Certified Prosthodontist who received her BS, DDS and MS in prosthodontics at the University of Iowa. She worked at MD Anderson for 30 years as professor, faculty and Director of the Maxillofacial Program. She was also Director of the implant fellowship at MD Anderson using implants in conjunction with head and neck reconstruction. Dr. Jacob received Best Dentist in Texas awards from 2011-2018 from Texas Monthly. She has previously been elected by her peers to serve on the Clinical Advisory Board for the ClearChoice network.
