"Yoga" means "union", loosely translated, and this deck makes extraordinary steps in unifying the parallel spiritual disciplines of Tarot and yoga. It illustrates the archetypes of each card with a yogic principle, most often a pose, that exemplifies or raises in the practitioner the feeling or attitude or mindset usually understood as attributed to the card in question. Hence, for example, the connection of the 2 of Cups is illustrated in terms of the extended tree pose, where the yogi connects heaven and earth. The artwork is simple, flowing and free, and the colours are designed to resonate with the chakric body - bold watercolours and blotwork. The little white book is of reasonably quality as well; Lo Scarabeo have, in their more recent decks, gone to some effort to explore the interaction between the deck's theme and the archetypes and this is one that works.
