This is a beautifully illustrated deck based on the Rider Waite Smith system, but with a few variants. This deck was designed for beginners to learn with, so the symbolism is clear and easy to read and understand. There are pointers in the deck to help you out, for example, the wands have little flames coming off them, and the whole suit is tinged yellow/orange to remind you that the wands suit corresponds to fire. It is a great alternative to the Rider Waite Smith if you feel that deck is not for you or if you are looking for something different but still familiar. The line drawings are more detailed and soft, and the colouring shaded and gentle. The card backs are magenta with a silver border. The cardstock is not thick or glossy, so you will have to be careful with it when shuffling.
