TENARA THREAD IS GUARANTEED FOR LIFE! This is an 240ml spool of Tenara® Sewing Thread. Approx. 900 yds. Breaking strength 19 lbs. Even the strongest, most durable outdoor fabrics have weak points - the seams. That's because conventional thread in a seam can become brittle and eventually breaks after prolonged exposure to UV rays, cleaning chemicals, dirt, salt water, rain and snow. Gore Tenara Sewing Thread is guaranteed to last for the life of the fabric, and it maintains the strength of the seam even under the harshest outdoor conditions. It does not deteriorate, burst or break, despite years of exposure to weather, extreme temperature or chemicals. UV- AND WEATHER-RESISTANT Gore Tenara Sewing Thread is made from expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTEF), a material completely resistant to environmental elements, including harmful UV rays and extreme temperature variations. CHEMICAL-RESISTANT ePTEF fibres are unaffected by aggressive chemicals, making GORE TENARA Sewing Thread ideal for manufactured products that are exposed to harsh detergents, its resistance to cleaning solutions - even those including bleach - means that GORE TENARA Sewing Thread stands up remarkably well to repeated cleanings. FADE-RESISTANT GORE TENARA Sewing Thread is available in clear as well as in a wide range of colours. Made with non-fading pigments that are highly resistant to light, the coloured thread retains its bold appearance over time. The clear thread is especially popular because it blends with virtually all colours and patterns of fabric, allowing manufacturers to carry less thread inventory. On average, GORE TENARA Sewing Thread represents only about 3 percent of the total fabrication cost - a small investment for the extra value.
