Many of these seem to be less than a minute so that the famous phrase from the speech is included. Also, if you are driving, there is no introductory identification of the speaker. You have no idea what speech you are listening to uness you are knowegable enough to recognize the speech or pull your car over to look at the list. I have purchased other CDs of great speeches that have the speaker's full speech and they were more informative and enjoyable. For example, if you listen to Kennedy's 1961 inaugural, there is more to remember and take away from that speech than just "ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for you county." For example, there is another timely line about: "we will not negotiate out of fear; but we will not fear to negotiate." The same was true for Patrick Henry's "give me liberty or give me death." If you hear that whole speech (even if it is not in Henry's own voice), it is even more amazing. Unless all you want to hear are the speakers' real voices or the famous lines, I strongly do not recommend this item.
