Bob Sweeney has been in ministry since 1984. A graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Bob spent 15 years as a Senior Pastor in Anchorage Alaska and Central Pennsylvania. He saw believers getting away from hands on ministry. He saw the church in America with a desire to touch the world, but uncertain of how to make a difference. Bob then became the head chaplain in a maximum security prison for the State of Pennsylvania. There he saw inmates confused about how they can re-enter society. They hoped to serve God, yet were crippled with addictions and baggage from their past. Since 1998 he has been involved in homeless ministry first as a Men's Program Director and as a CEO since 2000. Using accountability, as well as care and concern, he has seen over 1000 men and women come through a drug/ alcohol program he has personally written. He came to Dallas LIFE, the largest homeless shelter in North Texas in 2005. Bob's accountability based substance recovery methods are getting the attention of many in both ministry, as well as secular circles. He and his wife Mary Ann have been married over 25 years, have 5 children and live in Dallas.
