New title from popular knitter Sarah Keen. 50 projects with easy-to-follow instructions and a comprehensive techniques section. Ideal use for leftover yarn.
Sarah Keen is passionate about knitting, finding it relaxing and therapeutic. She discovered her love of the craft at a very early age - her mother taught her to knit when she was just four years old and by the age of nine she was making jackets and jumpers. Sarah now works as a freelance pattern designer and finds calculating rows and stitches challenging but fascinating. She is experienced in designing knitted toys for children and also enjoys writing patterns for charity. This is Sarah's eighth book for GMC Publications, her others include: Knitted Farm Animals, Knitted Noah's Ark, Knitted Wild Animals, Knitted Nursery Rhymes, Knitted Fairy Tales, Topsy-Turvry Knitted Dolls and 100 Little Knitted Projects.
"The latest collection of tiny knitted figurines from prolific designer Keen (Topsy-Turvy Knitted Dolls) features a variety of customizable six-inch dolls well suited to creative play or decoration. Each doll is made with DK-weight yarn, and knitters can customize skin color, hair color, and clothing as they choose. The dolls are constructed in small sections that are sewn together, and basic knitting skills, such as increasing, decreasing, and seaming, are required--a brief refresher is provided. Knitters looking for cute, cheery toys will find plenty of choices here." --Library Journal
