Georgia Alderink and her husband, Fred, retired to Fayetteville, Arkansas where Georgia braved the collegiate scene, sitting in University of Arkansas' writing classes with students her grandchildren's ages. She now writes children's books, two of which have been published: "Who's Been Soaking in My Hot Tub?" and "Pea Brain and Wheelchair Willie." This book, "Adaptation" is her first written memoir, but one about her early childhood is percolating in her mind. Writing takes second place, however, when the weather and the Ozark hiking trails entice Georgia and Fred outside. Even the ticks and chiggers don't deter them from tromping over the hills and through the woods. Georgia hopes for several more years of doing what she loves.
