About the Author

Wernfried Heilen is the Director of Technical Marketing in the former Degussa Business Line Tego Coatings & Ink Additive, today Evonik Tego Chemical GmbH. After completing his chemistry studies Wernfried Heilen started working for Wuelfing (PPG) in 1977 in the R&D Department for Industrial Coatings. After moving to Byk Chemie GmbH he assumed responsibility as Product Manager for various product groups. In 1983 he joined Goldschmidt as Head of Technical Service for additives and later for silicone resins as well.
