Belinda Kirk is an explorer and the leading campaigner promoting the benefits of adventure on wellbeing. For the past twenty-five years, she has led dozens of international expeditions and remote filming trips. argument for seeking adventure in life
*Tristan Gooley*
A fascinating and convincing manifesto about the importance of
adventure for all of us. I thoroughly enjoyed ADVENTURE MIND. The
writing is really engaging and a perfect balance of anecdotes,
explanations and science. As an academic working in this area I was
really impressed by how thoroughly researched the book was and how
convincingly it argues for why adventure experiences are so
powerful and important. I challenge you to read this book and not
immediately start trying to fit some more adventure into your life
and the lives of those around you. There are some really nice,
realistic, practical examples of how to get everyday adventures at
the end of the book too. I have been recommending this book to all
my friends and colleagues!
*Helen Dodd, Professor of Child Psychology, University of
Exeter*
