About the Author

Lauren Eastman is a boy mom who chases waves, practices yoga and writes every chance she gets. For the past 20 years she has told stories for a living for entrepreneurs, chefs, yoga instructors, and Fortune 500 companies through her company, Issima Communications. She launched Issima Publications in 2020 to begin telling her own stories, co-written with her son. Shruti Prabhu is a graphic designer turned children's book illustrator based in Mumbai, India. She loves to bring her colorful characters to life with watercolor, gouache and pencils. Her visual style involves both traditional and digital mediums. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in Typography from Sir JJ Institute (2009) and a Master's Degree in Design and Branding from University of Arts, London (2011). Shruti has collaborated with multiple international authors and most recently co-created Santosha Saves Bedtime with Lauren Eastman. When she is not drawing, she is busy obsessing over plants and retro video games.
